The municipality Llallagua is a district in the Potosí department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The Municipio Llallagua is one of four Municipios in the province of Rafael Bustillo and borders on the Municipio Uncía to the south and the Municipio Chayanta to the east . The largest town in the municipality is the town of Llallagua with 25,166 inhabitants on the southern edge of the district, other urban settlements are Siglo XX (town) with 5,834 inhabitants and Catavi with 3,834 inhabitants. geography
Llallagua lies at the transition from the Oruro highlands to the Potosí mountains. The city is bordered in the north and west by the high mountain ranges of the Cordillera Central . The vegetation is that of the puna , the climate a typical time of day climate , in which the daily temperature fluctuations are greater than the monthly fluctuations.
