The Museo Civico Luigi Mallè di Dronero is a museum in the northern Italian town of Dronero in the Mairatal , which is dedicated to the history and culture of the city. It was founded in 1995 on the basis of the collection and testament of the art historian Luigi Mallè and is located in the former home of the founder's family at 54 Via IV Novembre.

The founder and namesake of the museum, Luigi Mallè, was born in Turin in 1920 . His parents were from Dronero. Luigi Mallè became an art historian and became the director of important museums in Turin and a university lecturer. At the same time he became a collector of rarities and art. In his will, Mallè stipulated that after his death his house should be bequeathed to the Dronero commune to house his extremely heterogeneous collection.

Pieces from the 16th to 20th centuries are now on the ground floor, while the upper floor is dedicated to Mallès life. This includes 42 items of furniture and furnishings, 59 ceramic works from China , Japan , but also from France and Great Britain , then 129 paintings and drawings that were created between the early 17th and mid-20th centuries, and finally 204 photographs, eight clocks from the 19th century, 38 prints (1750–1890), 15 glass works. There are also majolica , toys or records (operas), finally a salotto from the second half of the 19th century and a neo-Renaissance dining room .

On the ground floor there are fabrics from the late 16th century or a polychrome wooden statue from the Trientine school by Stefano Lamberti . From the 17th century there are paintings such as the Allegoria dell'Angelo custode by Charles Dauphin , as well as a number of Flemish and Dutch works. In the Settecento hall, works by Giovanni Battista Crosato , Francesco De Mura , Giovan Domenico Molinari are exhibited, as well as rococo prints by Johann Wolfgang Baumgartner . In the Ottocento hall there are works by landscape painters of the late 19th century, while the last exhibition room is dedicated to painters of the 20th century.

The house attaches particular importance to the didactic work. The website www.museoluigimalle.it occasionally mentioned in travel guides no longer exists.
