Mustafa Karagöllü or Mustafa Karagol (born April 26, 1981 in Ankara ) is a former Turkish boxer.

Career

He reached the 5th place at the Junior European Championships in 1999 in Rijeka and took part in the World Championships in 2001 and 2003, but where he was eliminated before reaching the medal ranks against Dimitar Shtiljanow . At the European Championships in Pula in 2004 he won a bronze medal in the light welterweight division. After victories against José Gutiérrez from Spain, Roman Kulitschenko from Israel and Ionuț Gheorghe from Romania, he was only defeated in the semifinals against Alexander Maletin from Russia.

He then started at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , defeating Indian Vijender Kumar in the preliminary round before losing to Ionuț Gheorghe in the round of 16 .

From May 2005 to November 2008 he played 15 professional fights in Turkey and Germany, of which he won 14. He suffered his only defeat in December 2006 when fighting for the WBC International Middleweight Championship against Domenico Spada .
