content

The 15-year-old student Bo-eun and the older graduate Sang-min have known each other since childhood. While Bo-eun grapples with the daily problems of a high school student , Sang-min enjoys life to the full. One day, Bo-eun's grandfather asks the two of them to fulfill a promise he made to Sang-min's grandfather during the Korean War : marriage to create a family relationship. After much hesitation, they decide to grant what might be his last wish.

Due to her age, Bo-eun keeps the marriage largely a secret and regards Sang-min as a big brother. Sang-min doesn't get over the idea that all the hot girls are going through his fingers at first. But he quickly forgets the thoughts and has "romantic" feelings for them, which are not really recognizable, since he is considered a perverted philanderer, so Bo-eun is not safe from him either. On the first day of her honeymoon, Bo-eun begins a romance with Jung-woo, the most popular boy at school, which Sang-min soon learns. Both spouses do not feel particularly committed to each other, but since they are together under one roof, they have to get along. It becomes all the more difficult when Sang-min happens to be accepted as a teacher at Bo-eun's school for an internship.

Little by little, Bo-eun realizes that she was too selfish and ignored Sang-min's feelings. Sang-min doesn't want to cause trouble for Bo-eun or spoil her high school happiness and enjoy her childhood. At the school festival, the two finally get closer. Bo-eun now knows that she is no longer a child and only now realizes Sang-min's feelings and what marriage means.

Reviews

Joon Soh criticizes in the Korea Times that older viewers should be bothered by the lack of a "real plot ", but that younger viewers, especially fans of the leading actors, are likely to be happy with the film. In his review in Variety Derek Elley has the similarity to the Hong Kong film My Wife Is 18 back in 2002.
