The hanging valley Mylna Kotlinka , formed by glaciers in the Ice Age, is a basin southwest of the Dolina Zielona Gąsienicowa valley , which in turn is a side valley of the Dolina Suchej Wody Gąsienicowej valley , in the Polish High Tatras in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship . It lies below the peaks of the Świnica , the Zadni Kościelec and the Kościelec and the Mylna Przełęcz mountain pass .
geography
The basin has a diameter of several hundred meters and is surrounded by mountains over 2,300 meters high, especially the Świnica massif . There is no surface water in the valley. A layer of snow, whose meltwater flows into the Zadni Staw Gąsienicowy , is here regularly until August. The valley lies above the hanging valley Zadnie Koło .
etymology
The name is derived from the Mylna Przełęcz mountain pass. It can be translated as Deceptive Valley .

The valley lies above the tree line. The valley is a retreat for chamois, marmots and golden eagles.

There are no hiking trails in the valley; hikers cannot enter it. It is a strict nature reserve.
