The piece was created as part of the Taller de Investigación Teatral (TIT) theater project, which mainly involved students and graduates from the Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago. It was premiered in 1979 under the direction of Raúl Osorio. It then made guest appearances in Latin America and Europe. Palacio's first major film role in 1987 was Laura in the commercially successful comedy Sussi by director Gonzalo Justiniano (* 1955), with whom she worked several times. In 2000 she had her last major film appearance in Silvio Caiozzi's (* 1944) drama Coronación , a film adaptation of the novel of the same name by José Donoso , which Chile submitted for the 2001 Academy Awards . These included roles in Matrimonio de papel , Marrón glacé , Marrón glacé, el regreso , Playa salvaje and Fuera de control .

During her evening life, Myriam Palacios lived alone in a house in San José de Maipo in the Región Metropolitana de Santiago . She received a low grace pension.
