Myriem Akheddiou

Myriem Akheddiou (born September 27, 1978 in Brussels ) is a Belgian - Moroccan actress .

Life

Myriem Akheddiou is the daughter of a Belgian and a Moroccan. She learned acting from 1999 to 2002 at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels . During this training, she made her debut as an actress in Mikhail Bulgakov's Le Maître et Marguerite at the Théâtre des Martyrs in 2000 . Since then she has been regularly engaged in the larger theaters in French-speaking Belgium. After minor supporting roles in film productions, she became known to a wide audience in 2018 as Cathy in Samuel Tilman's Une part d'ombre and was rewarded with a nomination for the Magritte Film Prize for best young actress . She was able to win the Magritte as Best Supporting Actress in February 2020 for the role of Inès in Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne's award-winning film Le Jeune Ahmed .
