Myshyn ( Ukrainian Мишин ; Russian Мышин Myshin , Polish Myszyn ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast Ivano-Frankivsk with about 2800 inhabitants (2001).

The village, which was founded in 1416 and was first mentioned in writing, another source mentions the year 1373, administratively belongs to the district council of Nyschnij Werbisch in the south of the Kolomyja Rajon .

The village is located at an altitude of 340  m on both banks of the Lyuchka ( Лючка ), a 42 km long left tributary of the Prut tributary Pistynka ( Пістинька ), 8 km south of the Nyschnij Verbish community center, 11 km southwest of the Kolomyja district center and 67 km south of the Ivano-Frankivsk oblast center .

The regional road P-24 runs through the village .

Personalities

The Ukrainian Greek Catholic priest, publicist, philanthropist, political and cultural activist Yossafat Kobrynskyj ( Йосафат Миколайович Кобринський ) lived in the village from 1853 and died here in 1901.
