The Nördliche Talleitenspitze ( 3115  m above sea level , formerly also called Nameless Summit ) is a mountain peak in the Schober group on the border between East Tyrol and Carinthia . It is located on the municipal boundary of Kals am Großglockner and Heiligenblut am Großglockner . Neighboring peaks are the Südliche Talleitenspitze ( 3113  m above sea level ) in the south and the Rote Knopf in the north ( 3281  m above sea level ) from which the Nördliche Talleitenspitze is separated by the Elberfelder Scharte ( 3048  m above sea level ).

De Nördliche Talleitenspitze was first climbed on September 19, 1900 by R. Below and W. Frerichs.

Promotion opportunities

The Nördliche Talleitenspitze is usually climbed from the Kals side. Here, for example, the Lesachalm hut is a good starting point. The path is initially marked as far as the Elberfelder Scharte between the Red Button and the Northern Talleitenspitze. Then the ascent leads over the north ridge to the summit ( difficulty level II ). Another way to climb the Nördliche Talleitenspitze is the connecting ridge from the Südliche Talleitenspitze. The first step here is the climbing down, ideally with safety ropes or abseiling from the southern tip of the valley, after which the following steep upswing is bypassed on the east side. The ridge to the summit then has a difficulty level II-III.
