Nörning is a village and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Ebersdorf in the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district in Styria .

The scattered settlement is located west of Ebersdorf and also consists of the Rotten Auffenberg, Harras and Schmiedbach.

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 111 building areas with 33,701 m² and 68 gardens on 195,306 m² in the cadastral municipality of Nörning , in 1989/1990 there were 95 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 154 and in 2009/2010 there were 130 buildings on 206 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 374 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 215 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 385 hectares and 214 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 362 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 213 hectares. The average soil climate number of Nörning is 39.3 (as of 2010).
