The N18 is a trunk road in Burkina Faso that begins in Tatarko and leads via Fada N'Gourma to the border with Benin .
The trunk road begins in Tatarko village, where it branches off from the N3 . The northern part of the route is not paved and is also of minor importance. The southern section of the route is much more important as it is the only connection to Benin, although the border is relatively long. In Benin, the road continues as RNIE3 to Cotonou . The southern section is an important export route from Burkina Faso to Benin; there are Atlantic ports in Cotonou.
