ASL Airlines Hungary is a Hungarian cargo airline based in Budapest and based at Budapest Airport . It is a subsidiary of the ASL Aviation Group .
history
The airline was founded in 1990 as NAWA Air Transport and began flight operations in the same year. In 1993, Farner Air Transport (later Farnair ) bought the company and renamed it Farner Air Transport Hungary . The airline was renamed Farnair Hungary in 1997 .
In December 2014, the company was taken over by the Belgian-Irish ASL Aviation Group as part of the parent company Farnair Switzerland .

fleet
As of October 2018, ASL Airlines Hungary's fleet consists of six Boeing 737-400s in the cargo version with an average age of 26 years. The first Boeing was taken over in March 2014, and two more followed in September and December 2014. The first Boeing 737 was registered on the Thai K-Mile Air in July 2014 , in which the Farnair Group holds a 45% stake.
Incidents
- On August 5, 2016 from shot Paris next Boeing 737-400SF with the air vehicle registration HA-FAX on the Bergamo airport on the runway addition, broke through a guardrail and only came on a busy road to a standstill. The two pilots were injured. The aircraft was on EAT flight 7332 on behalf of DHL . At the time of the accident, the weather conditions at Bergamo Airport were poor and flight operations had to be suspended for around 3 hours.
