The 1912–13 season was the fourth regular season for the National Hockey Association (NHA). The champions were the Quebec Bulldogs .

Team changes

The following changes were made before the start of the season:

In the regular season, the six teams played 20 games each. The first place after the regular season became champions. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a defeat.

Season course

Before the season started, the league had taken on two teams from Ontario's largest city, the Toronto Blueshirts and the Toronto Tecumsehs . Last year's champion Quebec Bulldogs was able to confidently prevail in the regular season with 16: 4 wins and twelve points ahead of the runner-up Montreal Wanderers .

Stanley Cup Challenge

The Quebec Bulldogs Stanley Cup winning team (1913)

In the playoffs for the Stanley Cup , the Quebec Bulldogs were able to prevail with 2-0 wins against the Sydney Millionaires and defend their title. In the 14-3 first leg win, Joe Malone scored nine goals. Quebec won the second leg 6-2, but this time Malone paused.
