Nadezhda Alexandrovna Starik ( Russian: Надежда Александровна Старик ; born January 10, 1984 ) is a Russian biathlete from Mordovia , who celebrated her success primarily as a summer biathlete in the form of cross-country running. She starts for the club СДЮСШОР (Children's and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve) from Saransk .

Nadeschda Starik first took part in a major international event as part of the 2004 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Osrblie . In the sprint she was 30th, in the pursuit she improved to 22nd place and was finally 12th in the mass start. The following year the Russian achieved single-digit results in four races in Minio . Seventh in the sprint was followed by fourth in the pursuit and ninth in the mass start. Together with Olga Burowa and Irina Borowskich , she won the bronze medal in the relay competition. Their last world championship so far was Starik 2006 in Ufa , where they finished sixth in the sprint and seven in the pursuit.

Since then, Starik has only competed at the European Summer Biathlon Championships . In 2006 she won the gold medal in the sprint in Cēsis and behind her teammate Yevgenia Mikhailova silver in the mass start. With her as well as Anatoli Karpow and Alexei Kowjasin she also won gold in mixed relay races. Also in 2008 in Bansko further successes followed. Both in the sprint and in the mass start she won the silver medals behind Jekaterina Sidorenko , with her and Alexei Katrenko and Alexander Katschanowski again gold in the mixed relay.
