Nadia Delago (born November 12, 1997 in Brixen ) is an Italian ski racer . The South Tyrolean is particularly successful in the fast downhill and Super-G disciplines . Her older sister Nicol is also a ski racer.

biography

As a 16-year-old, Delago took part in FIS races from January 2014 . Just a month later, she achieved her first victory at this level, on a descent in Bardonecchia . In the same discipline, she won the Italian Junior Championship in March 2015, as well as in the Super-G. First appearances in the European Cup followed in December 2015. The best result in the first season was a ninth place, in the following winter of 2016/17 a fifth place. On the other hand, she did not get beyond 17th place in the 2017/18 European Cup season.

Delago was able to increase significantly in winter 2018/19. In Altenmarkt-Zauchensee , she won two runs in one day on December 19, 2018. Two days after her third European Cup victory in Val di Fassa , she made her debut in the World Cup on January 20, 2019 , finishing 32nd on the downhill from Cortina d'Ampezzo . She won World Cup points for the first time on February 24, 2019 with place 26 in the combination of Crans-Montana .
