After secondary school in Locarno, he went to Lugano where he received his artificial training in the studios of Giuseppe Foglia, Antonio Chiattone, Filippo Boldini and Carlo Cotti. As a painter, potter, graphic artist and sculptor, he created numerous works of art. He was a lecturer at the Lugano School of Applied Arts.

Arnoldi's large-format bronzes can be found in many public and private places and buildings, for example in Lugano and Vaduz . There are small sculptures in limited series, horses being his most popular motif.
