Namibia flyafrica (also FlyAfrica Namibia ) was a Namibian low-cost airline based in Windhoek and based at Hosea Kutako International Airport . It was a virtual airline and a subsidiary of Flyafrica . The operation was stopped in November 2015 due to "blatant defects" until further notice. On December 16, 2015, Nomad Aviation , as the Namibian partner of Flyafrica, announced the end of the cooperation in a newspaper advertisement.
history
On February 25, 2015, the start of the Namibian routes was postponed from the beginning of March to the beginning of April at the earliest due to a lack of licenses. In mid-March 2015 it was announced that all licenses had been in place since November 2014, but that third parties would work against the market entry. In mid-May 2015 the final issue of all necessary licenses was announced and the start of flight operations announced.
The first flight took place on September 2, 2015 between Windhoek and Johannesburg. A Namibian court ruling only two days later, however, led to the - temporary - suspension of the route. After September 15, 2015, Flyafrica operated Lanseria International Airport near Johannesburg from Windhoek according to a court decision .
The establishment of a subsidiary for national flights in Namibia was announced in August 2015.
The airline operated in partnership with Nomad Aviation and flew under their license.

Namibia flyafrica operated from Windhoek to Lanseria International Airport in Johannesburg . The frequency should be increased to five flights per week from November 16, 2015. In addition, Cape Town has been served three times a week since November 2, 2015.
fleet
The airline initially leased up to three planes from Zimbabwe flyafrica until its own planes should have been delivered.
