program

Hitradio Namibia broadcasts a program with a focus on music. In addition, news from Namibia, southern Africa and around the world are a focus. Current chart music is played, but also evergreens and music from the 1980s and 1990s. In contrast to the public service competitor NBC Deutsches Hörfunkprogramm , the focus on the CHR and AC format means there is no music outside the mainstream, especially from the alternative and independent sectors . The target group are German-speaking Namibians and tourists as well as German-speaking listeners abroad between 14 and 59 years of age.

The programs "Namibia in the morning", "Namibia at noon", "Namibia in the evening" and "Namibia at the weekend" are fixed components of the program. External broadcasts take place live at least once a month. Special broadcasts for special occasions take place every December, including “Aktion Sonnenstern” and “Namibia's official summer hit”.

The program is played by Radio Goethe for one hour each Wednesday evening, and the radio show "DBN loves ..." by the DJ trio band DBN is played on the night from Friday to Saturday - until May 2015 . Every day (until December 2013) the comedy Der Flirter by and with Phillip von Senftleben was recorded as part of the morning broadcast .
