Nancy Contreras

Nancy Llarely Contreras Reyes (born January 20, 1978 in Zacatecas ) is a former Mexican track cyclist .

In 1995, Nancy Contreras was runner-up in the junior single pursuit world champion . In 2001 she became world champion in the 500 m time trial in Antwerp , making her the first Mexican woman to win a medal at cycling world championships. Since then she has been on the podium several times at world championships and world cup races . She also took part in the Olympic Games twice - in 1996 and 2004 .
