Nancy Valen
Nancy Valen (born December 16, 1965 in Hallandale , Florida ) is an American actress .
Life
Nancy Valen worked as a model in New York City when she was twelve . She attended an arts-oriented high school in Fort Lauderdale and was admitted to the Faculty of Theater Arts at the University of Florida , but she declined. She studied theater arts at Broward College , then moved to New York City.
Valen made his debut in 1985 on the television series Miami Vice . From 1985 to 1987 she played the role of Melinda Weaver Ryan in the television series Ryan's Hope . In the comedy Loverboy (1989) she played Jenny Gordon , the friend of Randy Bodek , who is played by Patrick Dempsey . In the comedy The Big Picture (1989) she appeared on the side of Kevin Bacon , Jennifer Jason Leigh and Teri Hatcher . She took on one of the leading roles in the 1990 television series Hull High . From 1996 to 1997 she played the role of Samantha Thomas in the television series Baywatch - The Lifeguards of Malibu .
Valen has been married to actor Nels Van Patten , son of Dick Van Patten , since 1994 .
