Natascha - Wettlauf mit dem Tod is a German television film by Bernd Böhlich from 1996 , which was produced for Sat.1 . The film is based on the sensational case of the then six-year-old Olivia Pilhar in 1995, whose parents refused to treat cancer in favor of the methods of the doctor Ryke Geerd Hamer . In the film the girl is called Natascha Bär.

The doctors diagnose the young Olivia Pilhar with cancer , but the parents refuse her child the prescribed chemotherapy . Instead, they turn to a former doctor who doesn't believe in conventional medicine either. The Austrian authorities threatened the Pilhar couple with the withdrawal of their custody, which is why they went to Spain for a short time. Back again, the parents have to answer and the chemotherapy is carried out.
