Nathaniel Joseph "Nate" Ruess (born February 26, 1982 in Iowa City , Iowa ) is an American singer .

Career

Nate Ruess was a member of the band The Format and founded in 2008, the indie pop - band fun.

With Pink he released the song Just Give Me a Reason in 2013 , which reached the top of the charts in many countries. Pink and Ruess received the MTV Video Music Award in the category Best Collaboration in 2013 . They were also nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo / Group Performance .

The following year, Ruess hit the charts with Eminem and the song Headlights . In 2015 he started his solo career with the release of the single Nothing Without Love .
