review

Jakob Biazza heard the album for Focus and judged: “[...] a loveless string of aseptic guitars, banal synthesizer sounds, dumb beats and voices that are almost robotic. Should there ever have been moments of dynamism, of loud and quiet, of breathing and unfolding, they were eliminated with a coarse compression. Even Pink's timbre, which is actually so expressive, will eventually become an interchangeable element in even more interchangeable refrains. Nate Ruess, currently the singer of the band FUN., Revives “ Just Give Me a Reason ” a little. On “Here Comes The Weekend”, rapper Eminem brings a short, but not particularly exciting, scene change. Otherwise the album is a faceless piece of yard goods: discouraged, powerless and without any charisma, it could come from anyone - and thus stands in unpleasant contradiction to Pink's behavior [sic!]. "

Wolfgang Schütz wrote for the Augsburger Allgemeine : “13 songs which, according to the title, revolve around love, but are as far removed from the romanticism of girls as Pink is from being a housewife. "True Love", for example, offers plenty of Schlallalla in the chorus, but that is only based on the insight: "You are an asshole and I love you". Just pink. Like the whole record. An expected mixture of the rocking pieces, a bit of ballad, joy of dancing and a bit of thoughtfulness, as in the next single " Try ". "
