So What is a rock - pop song by the US singer P! Nk from 2008. The song was written by P! Nk, Max Martin and Shellback.

History of origin

Pink described the genesis of the song in an interview with Canadian journalist Jason MacNeil. During the collaboration with the Swedish music producers Max Martin and Shellback (Karl Johan Schuster) in the Maratone Studios in Stockholm , where the song was also recorded, the first guitar riff was created . Pink, who in early 2008 by her husband, motocross rider Carey Hart had separated, texted to the beginning of the first verse of "I guess I just lost my husband, I do not know where he went." ( I think I've just finished my Husband lost, I don't know where he went ). Martin and Shellback's affected reaction piqued their interest. The title So What , formulated as a question, can be translated as Na and . Pink referred to the song as a joke ("joke"). In her opinion it is a kitschy but at the same time funny text about the airs of a rock star: "I'm still a rock star / I got my rock moves" ( I'm still a rock star / I have my rock poses ).
