Nathalie Cardone
Nathalie Cardone (born March 29, 1967 in Pau , Pyrénées-Atlantiques , France ) is a French actress and singer . She is the daughter of a Sicilian and a Spanish woman .
biography
Nathalie Cardone first appeared in 1988 with the film Drôle d'endroit pour une rencontre (German title: Nocturnal Sehnsucht - Unrestrained ) alongside Gérard Depardieu and Catherine Deneuve on the screen.
For this first engagement, she was nominated for the César in the category Best Young Actress.
She then played a small role in the film La Petite voleuse ( The Little Thief ).
Other roles followed until Nathalie Cardone met Laurent Boutonnat in 1997 , the discoverer and promoter of the French-Canadian singer Mylène Farmer . He was looking for a Spanish-speaking interpreter for a new recording of the famous hymn Hasta Siempre by Carlos Puebla . The song, recorded in 1997, conquered number two on the French charts and achieved platinum status with over 500,000 records sold . She said of Che Guevara in an interview that he was the most honest part of the Cuban Revolution, a symbol of hope.
Building on this success, she composed her second track herself in 1998. This differed greatly from the rock style of the first and was nowhere near as successful.
In 1999 her third title came out, again written by herself. It reached number eight on the charts and was a complete success commercially. Her first album came out shortly afterwards.
A sampler of the song Baila was circulating , the fourth track on their album. However, it was never released as a single. In addition, an international version of their album was released, for which many songs were newly produced in English.
After years of absence, Nathalie Cardone came out with a new single in 2008. A new album is in preparation.
