Nathalie Mälzer
Nathalie Mälzer (born September 27, 1970 in Berlin ) is a German literary scholar and translator. She also publishes under the name Nathalie Mälzer-Semlinger .
Life
Nathalie Mälzer studied general and comparative literature and theater and film studies at the Free University of Berlin and the Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris III from 1989 to 1994, and received her doctorate in 2009 from the University of Duisburg-Essen .
Since 2000 she has been working as a literary translator, interpreter and presenter of literary events. From 2009 she was a research assistant at the Institute for Translation Studies and Specialized Communication at the University of Hildesheim and, from the end of 2012, junior professor for transmedia translation. She has held a professorship there since the beginning of 2018.
Together with her colleague Claudia Stein, she received the Stefan George Prize for young translators from French in 2000, which the Heinrich Heine University awards every two years.
