Quilly is a French commune with 82 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ardennes department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Champagne-Ardenne ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Vouziers and to the local authority association L'Argonne Ardennaise, founded in 1997 . The inhabitants are called Quillerons .
Between 1828 and 1871 Quilly was part of the parish of Coulommes-et-Marqueny .
geography
Quilly is located in the north of the Champagne sèche , the "dry Champagne", also called "lousy Champagne" ( Champagne pouilleuse ), about 50 kilometers northeast of Reims . The Ruisseau d'Arson , which drains over the Muette to the Aisne, rises in the poorly forested municipality of Quilly . The community area, characterized by grain fields on gentle hills, reaches its highest point in Le Fichot in the west at 177 meters above sea level. Part of the hamlet of Le Chaufour belongs to the municipality . Quilly is surrounded by the neighboring communities Chardeny in the north, Grivy-Loisy in the east, Tourcelles-Chaumont in the south, Leffincourt in the west and Coulommes-et-Marqueny in the north-west.

Economy and Infrastructure
Quilly is rural. There are seven farms (cereal and vegetable growing) in the community.
There is no church or chapel in Quilly. The church of Saint-Amand in Tourcelles-Chaumont, just under a kilometer away, is responsible for the Catholics.
Six highways meet at the roundabout in the hamlet of Mazagran , two and a half kilometers away , including the former national roads N 325 and N 380 . In the town of Rethel , 25 kilometers away, there is a connection to the Autoroute A34 ( Reims - Sedan ). Rethel station is on the Soissons – Givet line .
