Natricia Hooper (born November 24, 1998 in Georgetown ) is a Guyanese triple jumper and sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter run .

Athletic career

Natricia Hooper gained her first international experience at the CARIFTA Games 2014 in Fort-de-France , where she took seventh place in the triple jump with 12.12 m and in the Guyanese 4 x 400 meter relay in 3:46 , Came fourth for 23 min. She then won the silver medal in the 400-meter run at the South American Youth Championships in Cali in 55.06 s and was sixth in the triple jump with 12.23 m. In the following year she was disqualified at the Youth World Championships there over 400 meters in the run and then reached fourth place in the Commonwealth Youth Games in Apia in 57.04 s. In 2016 she retired from the CARIFTA Games in St. George’s with 56.61 seconds in the first round. The following year she won with 13.08 m at the games in Willemstad and retired in the sprint with 56.67 s again in the lead. In 2018 she took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast for the first time and finished eighth there with 13.36 m.

In 2014, Hooper became a Guyanese champion in the 400-meter run and in 2018 in the long and triple jump. She is studying at Essex County College in New Jersey .
