The Käppelchen-Felsen natural monument is a rock west of Winterberg - Siedlinghausen . It is a hilltop made of quartz porphyry . The rock shows that it was once used as a quarry. The natural monument consists of birch , oak and mountain ash .

The Käppelchen-Felsen has been designated as a 0.57-hectare natural monument Käppelchen-Felsen since 2008 by the Winterberg landscape plan . In addition, it is a legally protected biotope according to Section 62 of the Landscape Act North Rhine-Westphalia with the designation GB-4716-206 and a size of 0.06 ha.

Since the spruce stand that surrounded the Käppelchen rock was overturned by Hurricane Kyrill in January 2007, the rock has been clearly visible from afar. The rock can be seen from the road between Siedlinghausen and Altenfeld. The former spruce stand around the rock was converted into grassland after Hurricane Kyrill.

The Krähenstein natural monument is only 270 meters north of the rock . From the Käppelchen rock, the field stone of the Bruchhauser stones to the northeast is visible.
