The NSG starts right on the edge of the village.

description

View of part of the NSG

It is a near-natural red beech- grape oak forest and grove-beech forest with a typical hall structure and proportions of dead wood. There are also areas with spruce trees. In the NSG there are areas with rocks and springs.

Protection purpose

The NSG is intended to protect this forest area with beech and oak forests as well as the animal and plant species typical of the landscape. As with all nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation indicated that the area was declared a nature reserve “because of the rarity, special character and beauty of the area”.
