The nature conservation and FFH area beech and quarry forests near Einsiedelei and Apollmicke is located in the area of Kirchhundem , Lennestadt and Olpe in the Olpe district in North Rhine-Westphalia . It is located in the districts of Rahrbach (Kirchhundem), Kirchveischede (Lennestadt) and Rhode (Olpe). The approximately 296 hectare , two-part and largely forested area bears the NSG identifier OE-002. Sections were first placed under protection in 1932. In the area there are species-rich beech forests, birch-bog forests and alder floodplain forests.

The nature reserve is located southwest of the core town of Lennestadt and northeast of the core town of Olpe between the B 55 and the B 517 . The Olper district of Apollmicke is located in the middle of the nature reserve; the Lennestadt district of Einsiedelei is located in the eastern area. The Apollmicke , a tributary of the Veischede , has its source in the area .

Large parts of the nature reserve are also designated as FFH areas beech and quarry forests near Einsiedelei and Apollmicke (identifier DE-4913-301). As a result, these areas belong to the European Natura 2000 network of protected areas . Target species are barn owl , black stork, and gray and black woodpecker .
