Dollenbruch nature reserve

The Dollenbruch nature reserve is a 100 hectare nature reserve (NSG) to the southeast and east of the village of Silberg in the municipality of Kirchhundem in the Olpe district in North Rhine-Westphalia . In 1959 and 2004, the Arnsberg district government designated the area as an NSG by ordinance. The NSG consists of three areas. Since 2004, parts of the NSG have also been designated as FFH areas Dollenbruch, Sellenbruch and Silberbachoberlauf (DE-4914-302) with an area of ​​41 hectares. Other parts of the FFH area are located in the Sellenbruch nature reserve .

Area description

The NSG consists of mostly moist forest areas and grassland areas. The forest areas include birch-bog forest, alder-alluvial forest, alder-quarry forest, oak-birch forest and alder-ash-alluvial forest. In the grassland there are whistle-grass meadows , whistle-grass wet heaths, sedge meadows, mountain hay meadows, dry heather areas, bristle grass lawns , poor pastures and poor grassland . Parts of the grassland have fallen fallow.
