Krahenpfuhl nature reserve

The Krähenpfuhl nature reserve is a 4.7 hectare nature reserve (NSG) west of the village of Albaum in the municipality of Kirchhundem in the Olpe district in North Rhine-Westphalia . In 1953 and 2004, the Arnsberg district government designated the area as an NSG by ordinance. The NSG consists of two areas. In 2004, four hectares of the NSG were also designated as a FFH area Krähenpfuhl (DE-4914-301).

Area description

The NSG consists of mostly moist forest areas and a large area of juniper heather . The forest consists of birch bog forests, alder swamp forests and alluvial forests. In the NSG there are also areas with mossed dwarf shrub heaths.
