The wet grassland nature reserve on the Hengsbeck brook with a size of 2.4 hectares is located south of Hengsbeck in the municipality of Eslohe in the Hochsauerland district in North Rhine-Westphalia . The area was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 2008 with the Eslohe landscape plan . The nature reserve Hengsbecker Bach from the source area north of Landenbeckerbruch to Bremscheid surrounds the NSG.

Area description

Parts of the floodplain area of the Hengsbeck brook. At the Hengsbeck brook, when NSG was designated, a mosaic of wet pastures and wet and wet fallow land was in the floodplain area.
