Reinscheid nature reserve

The Reinscheid nature reserve with a size of 25.9 hectares is located north of Sieperting in the municipality of Eslohe . The area was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 2008 with the Eslohe landscape plan .

Area description

Old red beech and mixed beech trees with a lot of dead wood. Some red spruce stands are included in the NSG.

Protection purpose

Protection of beech trees with great structural diversity.
