Felsberg / Krähenberg nature reserve

The Felsberg / Krähenberg nature reserve with a size of 25.9 ha is located north of Niedersalwey in the municipality of Eslohe . The area was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 2008 with the Eslohe landscape plan .

Area description

It is an old European beech and mixed beech stand with rock ribs and a former quarry. The large rock ridges are rich in moss .

Protection purpose

The purpose of the protection is to protect the beech population with its great structural diversity.
