Herpeltal nature reserve

The Herpeltal nature reserve is a 7.95 hectare nature reserve (NSG) east of the village of Scheda in the urban area of Drolshagen in the Olpe district in North Rhine-Westphalia . It was designated in 2013 by the district council with the landscape plan No. 1 Biggetalsperre - Listertalsperre . To the west of the NSG, the federal motorway 45 is only a few meters away.

Area description

The NSG is the Herpel (Bigge) grassland valley with a natural stream, species-rich wetland and poor grassland. In parts of the lean grassland there are transitions to the grass grass. There are typical flora species such as beak sedge , millet sedge , devil's bite and bristle grass .
