Nauendorf is a district of the city of Apolda (since 1922) in the northeast of the Weimarer Land district . The place is located at the confluence of the Krebsbach in the Ilm at a distance of three kilometers to the city of Apolda on the L 1060. With the incorporation in 1922 and 152 inhabitants it is both the oldest and the smallest village in Apolda.
history
The village of Nauendorf was first mentioned in a document in 1124. This was done in the deed book of the ore monastery Magdeburg. This confirms the establishment of “nova villa”. The place belonged to the monastery Heusdorf , whose property was combined in the course of the Reformation in 1536 in the lordly office of Heusdorf . After the dissolution of the office in 1818 Nauendorf came to the office Roßla and in 1850 to the administrative district Weimar II ( administrative district Apolda ) of the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach .
Nauendorf has belonged to Apolda since 1922.
Attractions
- The rifle hall was built in 1836 at the instigation of the Apolda rifle club, founded in 1775. In 1877 it was expanded to include a 300 m sports shooting range. After the Second World War it was used for other purposes by Soviet troops and later by the agricultural production cooperative. The building fell into disrepair due to the storage of fertilizer and agricultural use and was renovated in the 1990s.
- Belfry: The belfry, which was demolished in the 1960s, was faithfully rebuilt in 2007 by the local heritage association.
