action

As part of a research expedition to Antarctica, two US researchers discovered an underground metal object with a Nazi swastika on it. Two men with respirators and swastika armbands take the two prisoners. The other researchers, led by Dr. Reistad goes to look for the two disappeared. They discover a way under the ice sheet. There is a Nazi camp under the leadership of Dr. Josef Mengele.

You get to an entrance and are surrounded by Nazi soldiers. Dr. Reistad turns out to be Mengele's secret accomplice, and the rest of the research team is captured. Reistad is supposed to help Mengele in his attempt to bring Adolf Hitler to life. They succeed in doing this too. Hitler's head is attached to a robot that allows him to move freely. With UFO- like flying objects, the Nazis want to bomb every non-Aryan country with carnivorous bacteria.

Mengele, Reistad, Hitler and the crew take off with the UFO, break through the ice and want to start the bombing. Two fighter planes fly by, track down the UFO and start shooting at it. The aircraft repels all attacks and destroys both aircraft. Hitler clears the first bombing, but before it is carried out, Reistad's flying object is blown up. Two researchers survive the explosion and are attacked by the Hitler robot. The scientists destroy the robot with a dose of the carnivorous bacteria that they inject into the oxygen tube through which Hitler breathes.

criticism

The lexicon of international films judged that the production was "not meant to be funny" , but "has become ridiculous" . It was a question of "foolhardy attempt" , from the hype about Iron Sky "to capitalize" .

Others

In 2018 the film was re-released under the title "Germania at the center of the earth". This version is three minutes shorter.
