Nena Schink (2019)

Nena Schink (born August 9, 1992 in Düsseldorf ) is a German business journalist, columnist and Spiegel bestseller author.

Life

Nena Schink lives in Düsseldorf and Munich . In an interview with Edition F , she describes her father's influence as very formative and important. In her private life, she advocates female empowerment.

education

She attended the private Catholic St. Bernhard Gymnasium in Willich until she graduated from high school and then studied economics, law and international relations at Maastricht University . From 2017 to 2018 she graduated from the Georg von Holtzbrinck journalism school for business journalists .

Professional career

In addition to her studies, she wrote for the Handelsblatt and Focus . She became a consultant at the management consultancy PricewaterhouseCoopers and spent one and a half years working on the strategic direction of media companies until she returned to the Handelsblatt Media Group for her traineeship . Training stations were the editorial offices of Handelsblatt and Wirtschaftswoche . From 2018 to 2019 she worked for the Orange by Handelsblatt portal, moderated the video format “Nena meets Germany's business women” and wrote the column “Nena's world”. In September 2019 she switched to Burda-Verlag as a reporter and has been working for Bunte since then.

Activity as a book author

With her book “Unfollow - How Instagram Destroys Our Lives” (2020), Nena Schink started a debate about the use of the social medium Instagram . The book arose from her column for Orange by Handelsblatt. A few days after publication, the book entered the top ten of the Spiegel bestseller list.
