The Nendorper Deichvorland is a former nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Jemgum in the district of Leer .

The nature reserve with the registration NSG WE 242 was 117  hectares in size. It was almost completely part of the FFH area “Unterems and Außenems” and the EU bird sanctuary “Emsmarsch from Leer to Emden”. At times it bordered on the conservation area "Rheiderland". The area has been under nature protection since November 27, 2004. On June 15, 2017, it was added to the newly designated " Unterems " nature reserve . The responsible lower nature conservation authority was the district of Leer.

The former nature reserve is located on the southern bank of the Ems in the Nendorper foreland in front of the dike line between the villages of Ditzum and Hatzum . In the area there are brackish reed beds and salt marshes as well as creeks and extensively used grassland . It is habitat and a. for avocets, redshanks, black-tailed godwit, lapwing, corncrake and bluethroat. The area is also important as a resting place for nuns, bless goose and greylag goose.

The area is cut through by the connecting dike to the Ems barrier , which means that around 4.2 hectares of the Nendorper foreland were built over. The protection of the Nendorper dike foreland also served as a compensatory measure for the construction of the Ems barrage. As part of the compensatory measure, the existing summer dike was opened, allowing the floodplain with its salt marshes to flow over when the water levels were high.
