Neronet

Neronet is a red wine variety . The new variety was developed by Vilém Kraus at the Department of gardening and landscaping of the Mendel University of Agriculture and Forestry Brno in Lednice , Czech Republic crossed . Neronet is a cross of (St. Laurent x Blauer Portugieser) x (Alicante Bouschet x Cabernet Sauvignon). The variety was taken over in Germany by Hermann Jäger in Ockenheim and further processed in breeding. The Plant Variety Protection was granted in the 1991st In the Czech Republic , almost 30 hectares are planted with this variety. Small vine stocks are also known in Germany , Austria and Hungary .

The red wine is deep red in color and is often used in blends to improve the color of weak red wines. The opacity of the color came from the new variety Alicante Bouschet, which belongs to the family of dye grapes . The flesh of the Neronet is also intense red. It is a variety of the noble grapevine ( Vitis vinifera ). Neronet has hermaphrodite flowers and is therefore self-fruiting. In viticulture , the economic disadvantage of not having to grow male plants that produce yield is avoided.

Parentage: ( St. Laurent x Blauer Portugieser ) x ( Alicante Bouschet x Cabernet Sauvignon ). The crossing Alicante Bouschet x Cabernet Sauvignon was named Alibernet .
