Alibernet
Alibernet is a red wine variety . The intersection of the new variety in 1950 in Odessa in the Ukrainian Ukrainskii Nauchno - Issledovadelskii Institute Vinogradarstva i Vinodeliya (Research Station for Viticulture) . Alibernet is a cross between Alicante Bouschet x Cabernet Sauvignon . It has good resistance to fungal diseases such as powdery mildew and downy mildew and is hardy in winter. In addition to countries like Ukraine , the variety is also grown in Hungary , the Czech Republic and Slovakia . It is mainly used for blends in which it brings the color of the Alicante Bouschet dye grape and the fine Cabernet aroma . The variety was part of the cross between the new varieties Neronet and Rubinet .
Alibernet is a variety of the noble grapevine ( Vitis vinifera ).
