Neukuppritz , Sorbian , is a settlement belonging to the district of Kuppritz in the municipality of Hochkirch in Saxony . It is part of the official Sorbian settlement area in Upper Lusatia .
geography
Neukuppritz is located southeast of Hochkirch on federal road 6 . The settlement lies at the foot of the Hochkircher plateau above the bottom of a left tributary to the Kuppritz water.
history
There has been evidence of an inn "Zum Weißen Schwan" on Löbauer Strasse between Hochkirch and Plotzen since the 18th century. In the first half of the 19th century, the Kuppritz manor had a sheep farm built on the old road. A small settlement finally arose around both properties on the Chaussee.
Neukuppritz was never independent and until 1936 was part of the Kuppritz community. Then it was incorporated into Hochkirch together with Kuppritz.
