history

The row of houses was built in the middle of the 19th century on the northeastern part of the Wuischker corridor. The year 1837 is written in the lintel of one of the houses.

Neuwuischke was never independent and was part of the municipality of Wuischke until 1936. Then it was incorporated into Meschwitz together with Wuischke . Neuwuischke has been part of Hochkirch since 1973.

In April 1945, 85 Soviet and Polish prisoners of war were executed in the forest southeast of Neuwuischke. In 1962, a memorial was erected on the site of the mass grave found in 1961. West of Neuwuischke at the fork in the road to Steindörfel and Hochkirch, an obelisk was later erected, which commemorates the 95 victims of this death march in Neuwuischke and Meschwitz.
