The Neuweiher , also known as Fleckl-Bad, is an artificially created reservoir north of the Geiersberg district of the Warmensteinach municipality in the Bayreuth district and is located at the foot of the Ochsenkopf . The pond is fed by the Neuweiherbach, which flows into the Grassemannsbach, a tributary of the Warm Steinach . (Catchment area Roter Main - Main - North Sea). A bog has formed in the southern area of the reservoir .

history

As early as the 15th century, the Neuweiherbach was dammed, which brought its water over the Grassemannsbach to the Warm Steinach, on which logs were floated to Bayreuth with increased water pressure .
