Neville Scott
Neville Ian Scott (born February 25, 1935 in Ashburton , † January 21, 2005 in Auckland ) was a New Zealand middle and long distance runner .
At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 , he was seventh over 1500 m .
In 1958 he won bronze over three miles at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff and was ninth in the mile run .
After suffering from alcoholism , he made a comeback in 1963, and he qualified over 5000 m for the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo, in which, however, he was injured in the run-out.
In 1957, 1964 and 1965 he was New Zealand Champion over three miles.
