New Zealand Football Championship 2006/07

The New Zealand Football Championship 2006/07 was the third season of New Zealand's top division in men's football . It began on October 14, 2006 with the game between Canterbury United and Hawke's Bay United and ended on April 16, 2007 with the final between Waitakere United and Auckland City FC . In the final, Auckland City prevailed 3-2 and was able to defend its title from the previous year .

Initially, all teams in a league consisting of eight teams played against each other three times, so that each team played 21 games. The first placed club qualified directly for the final, while the second and third placed teams had to win the semifinals beforehand.
