New Zealand Football Championship 2012/13
The 2012/13 New Zealand Football Championship was the ninth season of New Zealand's top division in men's football . It began on November 3, 2012 with the game between Auckland City FC and Canterbury United and ended on March 17, 2013 with the final between Waitakere United and Auckland City FC. In the final, Waitakere prevailed 4-3 after extra time and was able to defend its title from last year .

First, all teams played in a league consisting of eight teams against each other in the round two, so each team played 14 games. The first four teams after the preliminary round qualified for the championship playoffs, the semi-finals of which were also played in the return leg. However, only one game was played in the final.
