Newclaess
Newclaess is a German DJ and music producer duo, consisting of Jan Neuhaus and Tobias Claessens.
history
Jan Neuhaus (born 1991) and Tobias Claessens (born 1988) showed an early interest in electronic music and played in electronic clubs in southern Germany and in resident clubs in Stuttgart and the surrounding area. After completing the Vibra course at the Modern Music School , they started a joint DJ career under the pseudonym Newclaess , which is made up of both family names.
After appearances in the German club scene, she performed at the international Lake Festival in Austria and at the Open Beatz Festival in 2015 . In 2016 F eel Alive was released by the music label Planet Punk and also remixed by DJ Klaas . Universal Music became aware of Newclaess three months later . Newclaess produced a remix for this label and worked on various projects with other artists. Her productions made it to over 40 compilations worldwide this year, such as B. Future Trance (Universal Music). Her hit Tonight achieved over 800,000 streams on the Spotify streaming portal within three months .
After a tour through China in 2017 a release on Armada Music (Showland) followed. The duo received support from DJs such as Swanky Tunes , Nicky Romero and Juicy M. The hit On Fire (feat. Anthony Meyer) became the official Open Beatz anthem for 2017.
Newclaess released the twelfth single in 2018 together with the DJ and producer Cuebrick from Mannheim. Their joint track Fly (feat. Maliha) reached over 100,000 plays on Spotify, 500,000 plays on YouTube , reached number 41 in the Austrian viral charts and was one of the top five on the German radio station BigFM . Her previously released track Be The One was number 30 on the German iTunes Dance Charts.
In addition to other releases such as Where Are You and Love You Now , the duo achieved almost four million plays on Spotify by August 2019 , especially with Home . Since then, a new episode of her music podcast Claessroom Radio has appeared regularly on portals such as iTunes, SoundCloud and YouTube. Also in 2019, Newclaess released the track Wherever We are with the Miami artist Matluck . The song When I'm With You was on Spotify's New Music Friday playlists in four countries . In August 2019, their tracks reached around 330,000 listeners per month on Spotify.
In the future, a collaboration with Meisel music publishers is to take place.
